There are many things that we can all do to help look after the environment, including making sustainable choices when it comes to painting and decorating.
Here at Paradise Painting, sustainability is a key consideration. Our preference is to use Dulux paints, because they are durable, high quality, and have a great spread rate. This means that the products last well, go further, and have a minimum impact on the environment. As an added bonus, these factors can also save customers money when less paint is required, and the paint lasts longer.
Water-based paints are a great choice for the environment, because when they dry they emit mainly water vapour into the air. In comparison, solvent-based paints can emit solvents into the air when they dry, contributing to air pollution. Many of our customers use acrylic (water-based) paints, which have a high quality finish, and are great for the environment too.
Another factor to consider when choosing eco-friendly paints, is the ‘VOC’ measurement of the paint. Paints which are low in ‘Volatile Organic Compounds’ create fewer emissions and less odour. These paints are better for the environment, and also better for the health and safety of consumers. Dulux has a great range of low VOC paints, which we recommend to customers.
